One of the great things about being a part of the blogging community is the opportunity to view our world through the eyes of so many people from around the world. Some bless us with their photography, others with their tutorials, still others with truth about God and Christianity, and others sharing their personal stories of life, love, heartbreak and joy. The focus of each blogger is unique, and that is the beauty of the blog world. There is a place for each one of us, and we can come into this place like a smorgasbord and sample as many different posts and styles as we choose. The broader our palate, the greater the growth potential as a writer.
I started blogging at the urging of my mother, although her desire (per the name of my page) was for me to write a book. She thinks I am giving away my “stuff” for free. What she doesn’t realize is the wealth in the blog world as it relates to my personal growth as a writer. Each day, almost without exception, my motivation to write is clear to me, and the greater dilemma is weeding out the bad ideas and sticking with the good ones. Believe me, my little world offers me a limitless source of inspiration. 🙂
I was surprised and so grateful to Lori Schulz for recently nominating me for the “Beautiful Blogger Award.” I was quite honored and truly humbled, for the word “beautiful” doesn’t usually cross my mind as I evaluate my posts. I am, after all, a reforming perfectionist and as such, quite hard on myself. I am thankful for the opportunity to share anything that might brighten someone’s day, or more importantly point them to look at the Savior. It is for Him, quite honestly, that I share my heart. May it be full of His grace, mercy and love each day as I write.
Please check out Lori’s blog page at http://lorischulz.wordpress.com and be blessed by her writing.
In accepting this award, it is my pleasure to nominate 7 other beautiful bloggers! Please check out their blogs and enjoy the beauty in their writing!
